Meet Hashani: Supporting Children's Kindergarten Journey at Pinnacle ELC Glen Huntly
At Pinnacle Early Learning Centre Glen Huntly, we believe every child deserves engaging learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity and confidence.
In this team introduction, we meet Hashani, our 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Teacher, who has been part of the Pinnacle ELC team for seven years. Hashani shares her passion for early childhood education and how she supports children as they prepare for their transition to school.
Seven Years with Pinnacle ELC
Hashani has been working with Pinnacle Early Learning Centre for seven years, alongside David, Jillian and the wider Glen Huntly team.
She describes it as a pleasure to be part of the centre and its community, building relationships with children, families and fellow educators.
Her experience and commitment contribute to creating a welcoming learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, participate and develop at their own pace.

Our Victorian Government-Funded 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Program
As a 4-Year-Old Kindergarten Teacher, Hashani is part of our Victorian Government-funded kindergarten program at Pinnacle ELC Glen Huntly.
The program focuses on play-based learning, providing children with opportunities to develop important skills through meaningful activities and everyday experiences.
Rather than following exactly the same routine every day, Hashani and the team plan different activities based on children's interests, ideas and curiosity.
This approach allows children to take an active role in their learning while exploring topics that capture their attention.
Learning Through Play and Children's Interests
Hashani believes that every day brings something different in kindergarten.
By observing what children enjoy and what they are curious about, educators can create engaging learning experiences that encourage exploration and discovery.
Play-based learning gives children opportunities to:
Develop communication and social skills.
Explore new ideas and express their creativity.
Build confidence and independence.
Practise problem-solving and decision-making.
Learn through interaction and hands-on experiences.
These experiences help children develop a range of skills while enjoying the learning process.

Preparing Children for Their Next Step: School
One of Hashani's key goals is to provide children with enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences that help prepare them for school.
Through play, group activities and everyday interactions, children gradually develop the confidence, independence and foundational skills that support their transition into a school environment.
Every child's learning journey is different, and Hashani enjoys supporting children as they discover new interests, develop abilities and reach important milestones.
