Our Story

INTRO
A Journey Built Around Children and Families
Our journey began in 2007 with Beacon Street Children's Centre in Vermont South. Since then, Pinnacle has grown to include our Glen Huntly centre, while remaining committed to the same family-centred approach that has shaped our journey from the beginning.

Today, we are proud to be part of the early learning journeys of hundreds of children and families. Across both centres, our dedicated educators create welcoming environments where children can be themselves, follow their curiosity and grow at their own pace.

Being. Belonging. Becoming.
2007 — The Beginning
Our story began with the opening of Beacon Street Children's Centre in Vermont South, Melbourne in 2007.

From the beginning, our focus has been on creating strong relationships with children and families and providing an engaging environment for learning, play and development.
2021 — Pinnacle Glen Huntly
In November 2021, we opened Pinnacle Early Learning Centre Glen Huntly, Melbourne bringing our family-centred approach to a new local community.

Located on Booran Road, the centre was designed to provide children with inviting spaces for learning, play and exploration.
Today
While each centre has its own character and community, they share the same belief that strong relationships, meaningful learning and a genuine sense of belonging help children thrive.

Our commitment to families remained at the heart of our approach as we continued to develop our programs, environments and educator team.
Being
Belonging
Becoming
Being. Belonging. Becoming.
Our philosophy is centred on the belief that every child is a unique individual with their own personality, strengths, interests, experiences and needs.

We create learning environments where children are encouraged to explore, make choices, develop independence and build confidence, while being supported by educators who know and understand them.
We Believe Every Child Is Unique
-
Children develop in different ways and at different times.
-
Our educators take the time to observe, listen and understand each child, using their interests and strengths to create meaningful opportunities for learning.
-
We encourage children to make choices, express their ideas and develop a growing sense of independence.
We Encourage Curiosity
-
Children are naturally curious about the world around them.
-
We provide stimulating and flexible environments where children can investigate, experiment, ask questions and discover new ideas through play and meaningful experiences.
-
Rather than simply telling children what to learn, we encourage them to explore and discover.
We Build Meaningful Relationships
-
Strong relationships are at the heart of early learning.
-
We want children to feel comfortable, accepted and supported by the people around them.
-
Our educators build trusting relationships with children and work closely with families to create continuity between home and the early learning environment.
We Partner With Families
-
Families are an important part of every child's learning journey.
-
We value the knowledge families bring and encourage open communication, shared ideas and meaningful involvement in their child's education.
-
By working together, educators and families can better understand each child's needs, interests and experiences.

Children have opportunities to investigate, imagine, create and learn through play.

A Place to Be, Belong and Become
The Heart of Pinnacle ELC
From a single centre in Vermont South in 2007 to two early learning communities today, our journey has always been shaped by the children and families we have the privilege to work alongside.

We look forward to continuing that journey with the next generation of Pinnacle families.
“Early education is vital for children, this challenges and stretches the children and builds resilience ready and preparing them for society and the future ahead of them. This is their first step in learning”
– Jillian Hill, Centre Manager
