At Pinnacle ELC Glen Huntly, we believe that the people who work with children every day are an important part of the early learning experience.

One of the familiar faces at our centre is Jillian Hill, our Centre Manager, who brings more than 35 years of experience in the early childhood industry in Australia and 15 years with Pinnacle Early Learning.

Her journey in early childhood education has taken her from Scotland to Australia, through many years of professional learning, leadership and working alongside children, educators and families.

A Career Built on Experience

Jillian began her early childhood training in Scotland before continuing and extending her professional training after moving to Australia.

Over the years, she has developed extensive experience across the early childhood sector and has worked as a centre manager for more than 20 years.

Jillian has also been part of the Pinnacle Early Learning team for 15 years, giving her a strong connection to the organisation and the families and educators she works with.

Her experience provides a valuable perspective when supporting the team and contributing to the everyday life of Pinnacle ELC Glen Huntly.

Working Closely With Families

One of the things Jillian enjoys most about her role is working with families.

For families, choosing an early learning centre is an important decision. Building a positive relationship with the centre team can help families feel connected and comfortable as their children begin their early learning journey.

Jillian enjoys getting to know the families at Pinnacle ELC Glen Huntly and being part of the community around the centre.

Her approach is friendly, practical and focused on maintaining positive relationships with the people who are part of the centre each day.

Supporting Our Educators

Jillian also enjoys working closely with the educators at Pinnacle ELC Glen Huntly.

With decades of experience in early childhood education, she believes that professional learning and reflection are ongoing parts of working in the sector.

Jillian enjoys challenging and supporting educators to think about their education, processes and the way experiences are presented within the centre.

For her, leadership is not simply about managing the day-to-day running of a centre. It is also about encouraging educators to continue learning, reflecting and developing their professional practice.

A Hands-On Approach

Jillian describes herself as a hands-on manager.

Although she has extensive management experience, she remains closely involved in everyday life at Pinnacle ELC Glen Huntly.

You may see Jillian spending time in the learning rooms, talking with children, working alongside educators or helping in the kitchen.

Being involved in different parts of the centre allows her to stay connected with what is happening each day and maintain strong relationships with the children, families and educators.

Passion for Early Childhood Education

After more than three decades in the industry, Jillian continues to have a strong passion for early childhood education.

She believes the early years are an important first step in a child's learning journey.

During these years, children have opportunities to develop confidence, communication, independence and resilience through relationships, play and everyday experiences.

For Jillian, being part of this stage of children's lives is one of the rewarding aspects of working in early learning.

15 Years With Pinnacle Early Learning

Jillian has been part of Pinnacle Early Learning for 15 years, making her a long-standing member of the Pinnacle community.

Her experience, knowledge and commitment have helped shape her approach to leadership at Pinnacle ELC Glen Huntly.

Whether she is supporting an educator, talking with a family, spending time with children or helping with something practical around the centre, Jillian remains actively involved in the community she leads.
